About the role

We are looking for a passionate analyst to work within our compliance team.

  1. Conducting AML Surveillance i.e. transaction monitoring alerts, name screening alerts and investigations.

  2. Conducting Trade surveillance and monitoring of trades.

In addition to the management of alerts, this role will undertake research and conducting preliminary analysis to assist in determining whether circumstances fall within the defined criteria, particularly the threshold for reporting and candidates must be able to formulate and communicate the results of these enquiries, both verbally and in writing. 

Make a difference by,

Managing the BAU which includes but is not limited to :

  • Identifying and raising any Transaction monitoring and Trade Surveillance risk and within stipulated time.

  • Performing and/or ensuring periodic reporting.

  • Performing and/or ensuring alert allocations and escalations.

  • Performing and/or ensuring quality checks.

  • Performing and/or ensuring Internal & External audits/testings supported.

  • Performing and/or ensuring update and management of procedures.

  • Responsible for all periodic reports and adhoc MI requests.

  • Extensive investigations for money laundering / terrorist financing which may potentially lead to Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR).

  • Adhoc initiatives such as proposing amendments to policies and procedures, delivering related training to the business and other interested parties.

  • Recommending and driving process change and improvements to the existing transaction/trade surveillances model.

Job requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Graduate and previous experience of at least  4 years in Transaction & Trade Surveillances in Banking, Financial Services would be very beneficial
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work
  • Ability to work on Shift basis
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight time frames
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
